“The thing that has impressed us the most about Vanguard is the relationships between the teachers, parents, and students. As a Vanguard parent, I feel that I can rely on the teachers to keep my children safe and to challenge them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. That reliance goes both ways though; at Vanguard the teachers also rely on us as parent volunteers for many things. From making copies to planning special holiday parties, parents are encouraged to be involved. This not only benefits the teachers, but I feel it benefits us as parents and students as well. It allows us to see firsthand what our children are doing and it allows our children to see that they’re not on their own in school, but we’re still right there behind them.
The parent-teacher communication at Vanguard is also excellent. Teachers do a wonderful job of keeping us updated on how our children are doing. We can also feel comfortable talking to the teachers and letting them know if there is anything going on that they should know about. The teachers are genuinely interested in their students and do their best to help and encourage them in areas that they may need a little extra push.”
